Seminar Course Sustainability Engineering
The Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) announces the offer of the extension course “Seminar Course Sustainability Engineering”, linked to the international project “Education Network for Sustainability”.
- About the course
This course aims to provide an interdisciplinary approach to the science of sustainability, exploring challenges and solutions for sustainable development. The course will be taught entirely in English, online, through the Microsoft Teams platform.
- International cooperation
The course is part of the “Education Network for Sustainability” initiative, a partnership between Brazilian and German universities that aims to foster academic exchange and the sharing of knowledge in the area of sustainability. This international collaboration allows students to broaden their perspectives and develop skills in a globalized context.

- New trends and technologies to address the SDG;
- Energy transition, renewable energy sources and Hydrogen as a vector of decarbonization;
- Sustainability aspects in global and local logistics;
- Logistics of Hydrogen;
- Material resources for Engineering: availability and sustainability aspects;
- Recycling, reuse and repurposing of materials;
- Sustainable product development and manufacturing;
- Sustainable construction and urban environments;
- Water, Sanitation and Mobility Sustainability;
- AI, Data Science and Global Perspectives on Sustainability.
